The Bent Tree Animal Shelter Golf Tournament
The inaugural Bent Tree Animal Shelter Golf Tournament was held in 2024 to benefit both our Animal Shelter and Animal Care programs. Thanks to the generosity of our participants and sponsors, the event provided much-needed support for the animals in our community.
Our shelter cares for a large number of cats and dogs each year, requiring a constant supply of essentials such as pet food, cat litter, paper towels, paper plates, cleaning products and other daily necessities. In addition, ongoing veterinary care—including vaccinations, medications, spay and neuter procedures, and emergency medical treatment—represents a significant and continuing expense.
Looking ahead, we are excited to begin planning a capital campaign to fund an expansion of the Bent Tree Animal Shelter. As a state-licensed facility, our shelter is legally limited in the number of animals we can house at one time. We also face a shortage of storage space for the supplies needed to care for them properly.
An expanded shelter would allow us to better serve the animals entrusted to our care, improve our efficiency, and provide the additional space necessary for both housing and storage. It is our sincere hope that with the continued support from our Bent Tree community, the Bent Tree Foundation can raise the funds needed to make this important project a reality.
