2nd Annual Round Robin Tennis
The Second Annual Round Robin Tennis Tournament was held at Bent Tree on Saturday, April 28. Forty men and women vied for the championship of the tourney, which raised $4500 for scholarships for varsity tennis players at Pickens High School.
The women’s champion and runner-up were Wendy Lowe and Lynn Manni, respectively. The men’s section was won by Gerald Hunter, with David Fahner coming in second.
In addition to the $25 fee paid by participants, the tourney was aided by many sponsors.
