We’re Fine with the IRS

As most of you are aware from the Pickens County Progress, the tax-exempt status of some local non-profit organizations has been revoked. The Bent Tree Foundation is not one of them. The Treasurer of our Foundation has filed annual tax returns with the IRS since our inception, and the Board of Director’s remains committed to operating within the Foundation’s by-laws. As the newspaper stated, you may go to the IRS website to GuideStar to search the status of different organizations.

It is the Foundation’s commitment to all of our loyal supporters that we have and will continue to be diligent in maintaining our 501(c)(3) status.
